1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Profile Information: Profile photo and any updates you make to your profile.
- Location Data: Campus selection and approximate location used to show you relevant lodges nearby.
- Payment Information: Transaction references and payment status. Full card details are handled directly by Paystack and are never stored on our servers.
- Device Information: Device type and push notification token for sending alerts and updates.
- Usage Data: Pages viewed, searches performed, and features used within the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To match you with relevant campus lodges
- To process reservations and payments
- To send booking confirmations, payment receipts, and important updates
- To enable in-app messaging between students and agents
- To improve the platform's features and user experience
- To detect fraud and enforce our Terms and Conditions
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited cases:
- With lodge agents: Your name and contact details are shared with the agent once you complete a reservation, to facilitate move-in.
- With payment processors: Paystack receives the information necessary to process your transactions.
- With service providers: Firebase (authentication, messaging, chat), OneSignal (push notifications), and Google Maps (location) receive data necessary to provide their services.
- When required by law: We may disclose data to comply with legal obligations.
4. Biometric Data
If you enable biometric login, your fingerprint or face authentication is processed entirely on your device by your phone's operating system. Nnekkie never accesses, stores, or transmits your biometric data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app's Account settings.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission and secure password storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
