Nnekkie is Nigeria’s campus housing companion—a digital platform designed to help students discover, inspect, reserve, and pay for suitable accommodation around their campuses.
Our Story
Every year, thousands of Nigerian students arrive on campus without secured accommodation. Finding a suitable lodge can be stressful, time-consuming, and vulnerable to misinformation or fraud. Nnekkie was created to make the process simpler and more transparent by bringing lodge discovery, inspections, reservations, payments, communication, and move-in confirmation into one platform.
What We Do
Nnekkie connects students with lodge agents, property owners, and approved student subletters within their campus communities. Students can browse available listings, watch lodge videos, view photos and facilities, compare prices, arrange inspections, reserve accommodation, complete payments, and receive digital receipts through the app.
For Students
- Discover lodges and student sublets within your selected campus
- Search and filter listings by price, location, lodge type, facilities, student type, and duration
- View lodge photos, videos, prices, facilities, capacity, kitchen, and toilet information
- Save suitable lodges to your favourites for easy access
- Pay for an inspection without reserving the lodge
- Reserve a lodge by paying 20% of the booking amount and complete the remaining payment within the reservation window
- Make a complete lodge payment in one transaction when preferred
- Chat with agents to arrange inspections and lodge handovers
- Confirm completed inspections and lodge handovers securely in the app
- Access reservation details, payment records, and receipts from your account
- Share lodge listings with friends, coursemates, and potential roommates
For Agents & Lodge Owners
- Create and manage campus-specific lodge listings
- Add lodge details, pricing, applicable fees, facilities, photos, videos, and location information
- Receive notifications for inspections, reservations, and completed payments
- Communicate with students through the in-app chat
- Arrange lodge inspections and handovers
- Track reservations, completed transactions, payouts, and earnings from the agent dashboard
- Receive eligible payouts automatically after the student confirms the relevant inspection or lodge handover
- Withdraw an eligible wallet balance if an automatic bank payout fails
- Share available lodges directly with interested students and their friends
Student Subletting
Nnekkie allows eligible students to list accommodation they are permitted to sublet within their campus community. This helps students find temporary or alternative accommodation while allowing available spaces to reach people who need them. Students must have the appropriate authority or permission before listing a property.
Secure and Transparent Payments
Payments made through Nnekkie are recorded against the relevant inspection or reservation. The platform tracks payment states, confirmations, payouts, and receipts to reduce uncertainty and make each transaction easier to follow.

While students should still review lodge information and complete appropriate inspections, Nnekkie provides the tools needed to make informed decisions and maintain a clear record of every transaction.
